OK — been using this thing for something like four months now and it's basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I'd write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. I'm UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an e/w payout actually came to when the place terms changed. Basically I'd eyeball it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you drop in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. There's also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that's where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at lucky 63 kalkulátor and it's free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the geekier tools. They've got an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie's taking, and there's the kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutching one gets used a fair bit if I'm splitting a race.
It's not perfect mind. Its layout looks very functional, let's say — no frills, it's clearly function over form. On mobile it's usable but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There's no app, it's browser only — slight shame but worth saying.
Anyway. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me a load of "wait, that's it?" moments. |
