Comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design. Sometimes I experiment with different materials just to see how they feel in daily life. I also started paying attention to how websites display sizing charts for clothing. Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use.

For coats and blazers I usually go one size up if I want to layer sweaters under them. Sometimes one good quality item is better than five very cheap ones. For example, I compared cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics for similar clothing items. Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. I also check if the store explains how to measure PD and frame size clearly.
